Avondale Middle School (formerly known as Lattie Coor and Avondale Junior High) was established in 1983. During the 2016-2017 school year, Avondale Middle School became part of the Community of School - proudly servicing 6th through 8th grade students. During the 2021-22 school year Avondale Virtual Innovation Academy was added to the campus. 

It is our belief that all children are capable of success... no exceptions! We are proud to be a Kids at Hope Model School.

Our staff is dedicated to ensuring our students develop into thinkers, problem solvers and communicators. Our goals are to challenge your child academically, while growing them socially and emotionally. We provide rich classroom instruction and guide students toward making good choices that will result in successful outcomes. We support students by providing additional support and programs after school.

As your child transitions into a middle school environment, we encourage parents/guardians to keep in contact with teachers. Students will have multiple teachers and communication is key! Please feel free to contact teachers and/or administration at any time!
